New Construction Green Home Rebate Program

This is an exciting new Rebate program offering $1,000 to $4,500 to home buyers who purchase GREEN new construction high energy efficient homes certified  by one of the CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS approved for rebates , in accordance with the guidelines of the Delaware Green for Green Program. Also Non-profit builders building Green new construction high energy efficient homes are eligible to receive rebates directly to them.

Delaware Green for Green (G4G) is presented by The Sustainable Energy Utility Inc. (SEU), in partnership with the Home Builders Association of Delaware (HBA/DE) with money funded by the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI)

Builders must apply on behalf of their clients. Non profit builders apply for themselves. The funds are paid after the green certificate and HUD 1 are received by the HBA/DE and then submitted for funding to the SEU. Checks will be cut and mailed out twice monthly from the SEU office.  These funds are intended to help the new home buyer offset the cost of the energy efficiency upgrades on their newly built home. For Non-profit builders these funds are  intended to help offset the cost of adding the energy efficiency upgrades.
